Challenge 1: Week five a review

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another week on the challenge blog. Firstly, we would like to welcome our new followers, and thank all of our entrants to the challenge this week. You have been creating some fabulous entries.

If you are new to the blog, and this is your first visit, then please take a look round and familiarise yourself with the pages by clicking on the tabs at the top of the home page. Our current challenge can be found here and you can enter the challenge by clicking on the Inlinkz link.

This week we are going to spotlight some of the very creative entries that we have seen for this current challenge. Our very first entrant to the challenge was Jane

with a great multi-layered background, white highlights, beautiful flowers, and a fabulous elephant.

In complete contrast, Lesley provided us with this lovely tag:

The soft colouring on the background is so pretty, offset by the vibrant hand tinted lace and those two beautiful butterflies.

Lucy entered an altered bottle as her project for the challenge, showing just how versatile the stamps can be: :

There were some more CAS style cards entered into the challenge as well, one from Kath incorporating strips of book pages and various pieces of ephemera.

Here's another by Robyn incorporating some simple poppy heads, a soft background, and a sentiment:

We have had so much variety in the entries, which you can see in just the few designs that we have chosen to spotlight this week. You can take a look at all of the entries here.

There is just one week left to enter the current challenge, our next challenge starts on Wednesday 20th August, so why not grab your crafty materials, and create something using our current colour swatch and inspirational picture? The winner of our first challenge will be announced 27th August and we will also be awarding our top three.

We look forward to seeing you all next week for a brand new colour challenge with inspiration from our Design Team. Don't forget, if you have any questions and you can't find the answers on here please send us a private message using the contact form located at the very end of this blog post, you will see it after the comments section.
